Disney Commercial
Am I the only one that cries every time the Disney commercial comes on - the one where the families are surprising the children that they are going to Disney World. Tears every time - Every time!

Right Turn Here
Why is life so confusing? You have someone telling you to go there while someone else is suggesting you go this way instead. Your heart sends you in one direction and your head advises you to take the right turn. Sometimes a long long run on an empty road going no where makes the most sense.

Cozy day
As of right now you will find me watching a Doris Day movie, a cup of hot cocoa with little marshmellows floating on top sitting on the table, wrapped in my blankie that I've had since 3rd grade, and my bamboo knitting needles clicking back and forth as the yarn flows through my hands. Sounds like a pretty good day to me!

Back to the Drive Ins
I am the biggest fan of the drive-in theaters. We crowd the car with all our friends, pay little admission and we get to see two movies. The summer sun dances between the leaves of the trees and we drive the car on the gravel road to view the old 1950's sign displaying in red block letters which movies are playing. The car is finally parked with the tailgate facing the large, white movie screen and then we race to the playground and run up and down the slide. I head back to the car for some cool drinks and cheezy pizza and I always, always stuff myself. I start to cuddle up with my favorite blanket and the previews starts.
My favorite advertisement, which they still play during the previews, is the one with the dancing hot-dog encouraging me to head to the snack bar, which I oblige to do after the first movie. During intermission I head to the concession stand and the smell of buttery popcorn overcomes my senses. I tend to follow my nose and I buy a bucket of popcorn along with other things I don't need like candybars, ice cream, and, yes, I have even bought more pizza after already eatting a box at the car. I head back for the second movie and the chill in the air leads me to pull on my sweater. Once the second movie is over we drive tiredly back home and I easily fall into a long sleep in my bed and the next morning I wake to remember how wonderful the night before was.
These are my memories of the drive-in and yes, we are all going back again. Text me if you are interested in going because it is going to be wonderful! Because I love the drive-in so much and I would hate to see it disappear, please check out the website: http://www.westwinddriveins.com/theaters/
Please remember to go. It is more than seeing a move - it is making memories that last forever.

Love Work
Believe it or not, I love my job. I love everything about it, but mostly all the great people I work with. I'm close to closing my first deal on a home and I am so excited, and all my great co-workers have been really there for me. There is so much to buying a home and I'm lucky that I have so many people to go to if I ever have a question. I'm truly blessed.

More Important Things!
Does Mayor Kevin Johnson focus on anything more important than trying to keep the Kings in Sacramento? Sacramento is suffering from crime, economy, and overall quality of life, and he puts all of his energy into a basketball team where the majority of the population could care less if they stay. If I end up having to pay for a new arena, I'm getting the h#@! out of here!

Ghost Adventures
Okay so every Friday, after I eat a large pizza for dinner, I watch Ghost Adventures. I am not sure why I watch it every Friday because it freaks me out to the point that I can't sleep at night. I just watched the new episode of Old Sacramento. I guess the original city is actually underground where the "New" Old Sacramento is. There was part of the show where a rocking chair is rocking and it put chills up my back. Now that is time for me to go to sleep, I have to switch to the Disney channel and sleep with the lights on. Why? WHY? Why do I watch Ghost Adventures???

Accident Blue-Light Special
I don't know if anyone has been to Walmart lately but it is a freaken zoo and the people who are pushing their carts are animals running around as if they are trapped in a cage. If you go down one of the aisles, go with caution - you might get run over by someone pushing a cart who just doesn't give a hoot. Several times i thought I would die by all these crazeeys - jeez.

Tombstone vs. Wyatt Earp
So, I've seen Tombstone and Wyatt Earp and I had to compare the two films. Hands down, Tombstone is better than Wyatt Earp and here is why. 1) Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer are more fun to watch than Kevin Costner and Dennis Quaid. 2) You can't beat Val Kilmer's one-liners in the film (I'm your Huckleberry!). 3) Wyatt Earp is slow slow slow. I get bored watching it and sometimes I feel like I'm watching a movie on the history channel. Tombstone has more action and tells the overall story a little faster. I can't sit through long movies. 4) Kurt Russell has that wonderful mustache 5) Tombstone is a Buena Vista movie and if anyone knows me well enough you would know why that is a highlight for me :) Tombstone is probably one of my favorite movies.

Open House Today
I did an open house today on the house that I posted yesterday and the house is sooooo cute! It is so retro. The house was built in 1960 and all the lights, fixtures, and appliances all look from 1960. There is even wood panneling on the walls. But the house is in pristine condition, so even though the house is vintage it feels all brand new. I felt like I was stepping back into the 60's or the set of the Wonder Years (my fav show) The owners of the home took such great care of it. If anyone is interested let me know. You will just fall in love with it.
