I consider, for the most part, to be lucky. No, I am not like my brother and seem to hit $1,000 dollar jackpots every time I hit the casino (true story: my brother on his 18th bday went to an indian casino and called that night to say he won $500. Everytime I have ever gone to the casino, I walk out negative $20 from the Keno lounge (yeah I'm an old person and I like it). But I am very lucky, or more blessed would be the right term, to be surrounded by the best friends who truly love and take care of me.
I don't have a ton of friends where it takes me five hands to count all the closest to me, but I have a small group of really great friends. One of my friends, who I should call Airplane (if you are reading this, you know who you are), has remained by my side for as many years as I can count back. Someone who has guided me during rocky times and who has always been my biggest chearleader during my happier moments. Either way, I'm most grateful for everything that airplane is and isn't, for all she has done for me and everything we have accomplished together. It makes life all the sweeter knowing that for the rest of my life she will be there calling out Spalora.
